A Life-changing Experience!

Michael Tyler has been a Music Technology Specialist since the early 1980's when personal computers and the musical instrument digital interface standards (MIDI) were introduced.

He has authored and presented music technology seminars for music store chains, music distributors, and companies such as Kurzweil and Roland before starting his own music technology mail-order company (Computer Music Products) in 1987. In 1995, his company stopped printing mail-order catalogs and became one of the first completely internet-based music technology companies to be established online. Out of necessity, he had to become well-versed in all types of graphics software applications which eventually led to his pursuit of more artistic endeavors using the computer.

"Forget the laser engraver! Now I want a CarveWright machine!"

Michael has always enjoyed creating unique arts and craft items with mediums such as paint, glass, metal and wood. About a year ago, He got the itch to invest in a laser engraving system to embark on a brand new creative effort. The price tag was a bit hefty at around $17,000.00 and he was just a couple weeks away from making the equipment decision final. However, one evening, his wife told him she had just seen a television ad for the "neatest machine you ever saw". He had missed it, but she had thoughtfully written down the web address that appeared in the ad so he could learn more about it. It turned out that this "neat machine" was the CarveWright.

Immediately after viewing a short online video demonstration of the machine, He exclaimed "Forget the laser engraver! Now I want a CarveWright machine!" Besides, his wife was quite relieved with the much, much lower cost of the CarveWright compared to the laser system and frankly, so was he.

The CarveWright has given Michael a completely new way of looking at woodworking as a hobby and vocation. Not long after he acquired his first machine, he began filling a notepad with all the ideas of what he could make with the machine. The trouble was, certain dimensional relief patterns necessary to accomplish many of these projects didn't exist – at least, not yet anyway!

That's when Michael resolved to come up with his own methods of dimensional relief pattern design and creation. At first, he never dreamed that decision would ultimately lead to the creation of a new company to enable others an affordable way to add patterns to their own collections too! Thus, "CarveBuddy.com" was born.

"I can tell you, I haven't had this much fun in years!" says Michael. It is extremely gratifying to see projects that others have made using our CarveBuddy patterns. What's even more exciting is that many CarveWright owners have birthed their own new businesses by creating beautiful and unique items that often bring in a tidy income while they enjoy this new world of woodcarving".

"I couldn't be happier for them. The CarveWright has certainly proven to be a life-changing experience for me and for thousands of others!"
