PURCHASE & RECEIPT OF ACTIVATION CODE

Pattern Editor comes free with the purchase of the Scanning Probe.  The activation code is located on the back of the CW Project Designer Software Disk inside the Scanning Probe box underneath the molded plastic piece.  It is a combination of letters and numbers in this configuration: XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX  You must use all capital letters and the decimal points when activating.

If you have purchased only the Pattern Editor software, then you will receive an email that includes the activation code (also referred to as the "Software Serial Key")  The code has the same configuration and begins after the colon (:).

CW Centerline Text

Centerline is an alternative routing method to the standard Raster & Outline Routing methods that come standard with every CW/CC system under the Text Tool of the Project Design software.  It uses a 60 or 90º V-bit and cuts in a vectoring cutting method.  That means it follows a path and has a much faster carve time.  It is great for making or customizing signs with personal messages or names.  When it is time for the machine to carve the centerline text, it will tell you when to put in the v-bit.

The Power of Carving with Dingbats - Tips & Tricks Issue 20 (May 2009)  This is not really instructions for using centerline, but a technique that allows you to use centerline to carve things other than letters or numbers.  It is not necessarily for those that are novices on the computer, but for any moderate to high tech customers out there, Doug Haffner has done a great job putting together instructions on this technique.

PURCHASE & RECEIPT OF ACTIVATION CODE

If you purchase the Centerline Text Software from the CarveWright Online Store, you will receive a second email after the invoice that contains the activation code (also referred to as the "Software Serial Key")  The code begins after the colon (:).

Customer Spotlight

What is the difference between possessing a talent and learning a skill?  A talent is defined as “a natural ability”. A skill is something you learn. With talent, a craftsman, such as Michael Leslie, can take that skill and really make some incredible things happen.
